Your enquiry and why we use it
We collect the name, business, email, brief, intended application, market and optional project details you provide. We use these to answer you, assess the brief and manage development or sample discussions. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and managing prospective customer relationships. If you personally ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we rely on those pre-contract steps where applicable. Security processing supports our legitimate interest in protecting the service. Providing information is voluntary, but we need the required fields to respond usefully. Please keep confidential formulas and sensitive personal information out of the form. Enquiring does not subscribe you to marketing.
How we handle the information
Access is limited to authorised staff and providers supporting this service. Vercel hosts the website and image storage; Neon hosts the enquiry database. The application and database are configured in London, although provider support, security and subprocessors may operate elsewhere, including the United States. Provider data-processing terms include contractual safeguards for restricted international transfers, including the UK Addendum where applicable. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your data. Cloudflare Turnstile protects our enquiry forms by processing technical browser and security signals, such as IP address and browser characteristics, to distinguish people from automated traffic. Turnstile does not receive your form entries from us. See cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/ for its privacy information. Email notifications are not enabled in this launch configuration. We may also share information with professional advisers or authorities where necessary to meet a legal obligation or handle a claim.
How long we keep it
We retain an enquiry while it is active and while we need it to respond, follow up or manage the relationship. When a discussion closes, we assess whether the contact and brief are still needed, taking account of the time since the last meaningful contact, any agreed follow-up, technical work, contractual commitments and possible legal claims. Customer, accounting and product records may need longer retention under the relevant obligations. We delete or anonymise information that is no longer needed. Technical security logs follow the hosting provider's retention settings; we do not deliberately write your full brief into application logs.
Your choices and rights
You can ask for access, correction, erasure or restriction of your personal information, and portability where it applies. You have the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests. Contact hello@funklabs.co.uk or write to our address above. We consider requests under the applicable data protection rules, which may allow us to retain particular records. No decision with a legal or similarly significant effect is made about you solely by automated processing. You can raise a privacy concern with us and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
